My humans took me to visit the Veterans Home today. They told me that Memorial Day is a day to honor our country's military and that we were going on a long ride to visit a veterans nursing home. We took my little buddy, Prudence, with us too. Here is a picture of us at entrance.
The residents were glad to see us and gave us lots of rubs. Some of nurses stopped and talked to us too.
During our visit we walked around the halls and talked to the people sitting in their wheelchairs and some of the people invited us to visit them in their rooms. It was close to lunch time and that food sure smelled good - but I didn't try to eat anything - I know I can't do that when I'm working. Our visit lasted about an hour and I was really tired when we left. It felt good to stretch out in the back seat so I could sleep on the long ride home.
